THE SOZO MISSIONS KITCHEN TEAM LEAD ROLE

THE SOZO MISSIONS KITCHEN TEAM LEAD HAS THE EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • SERVE CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND THEIR FAMILIES IN SOUTHEAST BRADENTON.

  • HAVE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT ON OUR ENTIRE MISSION BY PROVIDING MEALS FOR THOSE IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

SOZO Missions Team Leads are the primary front line leaders of our individual volunteers who graciously lead with authority and love. These are high energy leaders who carry themselves with optimism and consistency as they encourage those they lead. SOZO Missions Team Leads are organized thinkers who serve well as intentional inspiration and coordinators for a specific volunteer team. They are able to teach, instruct, and train their team with a relational and approachable heart. SOZO Missions Team Leads also communicate the vision and culture of SOZO Missions while modeling and cultivating healthy habits of prayer, faith, and encouragement to themselves and their team.

THE PRIMARY TASKS YOU’LL PERFORM

The SOZO Missions Kitchen Team Lead is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensure the personal hygiene of all kitchen volunteers at all times and make sure they are wearing proper attire while serving.

  • Take ownership over set up and clean up of kitchen equipment and kitchen and serving areas of facility.

  • Lead the effort in preparing and serving meals or refreshments during SOZO events.

  • Recruit and assist in training of new kitchen volunteers.

  • Manage all scheduling of kitchen volunteer tasks.

  • Coordinate with Directors and Team Leads from other departments to ensure kitchen/food needs are met for their events.

  • Communicate inventory needs to leadership.

  • Serve as a practical and spiritual encouraging leader to your team.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Associate's degree preferred; however not required.

  • Authentic Relationship Building Skills with Adults and Young People.

  • Naturally Organized Thinker.

  • Personally Bought in to the Vision and Values of SOZO Missions.

  • General experience in large scale food preparation.

  • High level of food safety awareness and kitchen area cleaning and maintenance policies.

  • Team player with collaborative approach with other departments within SOZO Missions.

WHAT WE’RE OFFERING YOU

The SOZO Missions’ Kitchen Team Lead is compensated as a part time 1099 employee with the following compensation:

  • $20/Hour

  • Maximum of 10 hours per week for SOZO Missions activities.

  • Maximum of 5 hours per event for other SOZO Missions events.

  • Paid on 15th and final day of each month.

  • Opportunity to grow into a part time W2 role.
