Imagine being a teen, committing a crime, and going to live in juvenile detention. You wait for your release, knowing what awaits you: the same friends, family, and life that got you into jail. How can you make a new path for your life?
Sozo Juvenile Jail Outreach goes into Manatee Regional Juvenile Detention Center weekly, We offer chapel services, small group bible studies, and one on one counseling to detained youth. Our volunteers are committed to serving the youth at Manatee JDC. Our volunteers work with the probation department to mentor youth upon their release back to the community. Sozo has been going behind the walls for over 15 years to bring hope for all teens who or at high risk with gangs, drugs and crime.
Our goal is to empower teens to rise up above their current situation by inviting Christ in their lives and starting a new life. We offer support and resources provided through loving relationships.
